Distribution
STATUS: Asota plana seems rather rare in Papua. Outside New Guinea the species is particularly abundant in the sundanian region. Found in lowland as well as mountainous areas.
PAPUA LOCALITIES: New Guinea: Abmisibil, Ampas, Demaisi, Depapre, Etna Bay, Furu Camp (Foja Mts), Genyem, Humboldt Bay, Mabilabol, Mokwam, Sentani, Ubrub, Walmak (Nipsan). Details in gazetteer.
EXTERNAL DISTRIBUTION: Widely distributed from the Andaman Islands and Indonesia to the D'Entrecasteaux Islands and from Taiwan to the Philippines.
